I’m out of town and my project got done early. There is a cute little adoration chapel down the street I would like to visit.

Question: Would I be welcome there as a total stranger? Or would I be freaking out someone who wants a private hour there?

I’m sure you would be most welcome. I will be going to a local chapel myself in a few hours.

God Bless

you are welcome in any Catholic Church or chapel in the world, but never as a stranger, always as a friend and brother.

I should hope so! I remember once taking a very early morning shift during an overnight adoration, and I would’ve been glad of some company I can tell you!

More importantly I’m positive Our Lord would always be glad to see you  so don’t worry what other people might think

One of the things I love about being Catholic is that every single Catholic church in the world is my home. If Jesus is there in the tabernacle, it’s home.

Protestant churches are so different - so membership-oriented. Most of them make you (and by that I mean anyone not a member of that particular church, even other members of the denomination) welcome with ever so gracious hospitality, but it’s clear they’re the hosts and you’re the guest. In a Catholic church, we’re all related and can feel at home.

You most certainly would be welcome. And the first One waiting for you with His arms open wide would be Our Lord, Himself, present in the Eucharist, and desiring to share each moment you have to give him by your presence!

God bless you!
