I was in church last night for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and the Chapel was packed; it was very moving to see so many honoring our Lord. I have seen in the past few years, more people,
young and old attending Adoration. Has anyone else seen some of the same in other areas out there.
 
My parish has Exposition and Benediction of The Blessed Sacrament every Saturday at 11 am followed by Mass. It’s fairly well attended. Also once a month, we have the same on a weeknight, sans Mass. Not as well attended as the Saturday one, but a decent number show up.

Attending does tend build fath 👍

Adoration is indeed making a comback.

People need to persistently and humbly request of their pastors to offer Adoration. First Saturdays are a great time to schedule it. But, first get a group of people together willing to support it with their time.

At Assumption Grotto in Detroit we have an Adoration chapel which is open from about 9:00 to 6:30 M-Sat. On the First Sunday of the month, we have a holy hour with Exposition following the Noon Mass. It is a holy hour for vocations. It was led by a young priest, seen in the top photo of this post on 40 Hours Devotion, who spent the entire hour on his knees. He is now in the Philippines doing his time as a Missionary, something required in his order - the Order of the Holy Cross (not OSC, but ORC).

I really think like-minded pastors who want to get Adoration started, but may not yet have the people, should team up with other nearby pastors and rotate Adoration between them on a schedule. Eventually, there may be enough people to break it off by parish.

40 Hours Devotion use to rotate like that from what I was told. We have it in November of each year.

I highly recommend that parents buy and view with their children a DVD by Fr. Antoine Thomas, “When Children Adore”. I speak about this in a recent post on my blog.

How wonderful! God Bless your Church for being so faithful!
 
I’m glad to see that so many of the faithful are taking part in Adoration. Sadly, at our parish Adoration is not that well attended. We have 1st Fridays (which are well attended b/c the kids in the school come over for it) and also 1st Saturdays, but it is not usually crowded at all, sadly. We have it from about 8:45 (after morning Mass) until either noon or 2:00 depending on what priest is there and I’ve acutally stayed the entire time before and sometimes I’m one of only two people in there. But we also have our small Blessed Sacrament chapel open from after daily Mass in the morning until 9:00 pm and there is usually a steady group for that every once in a while.
 
We have perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament during lent. We have 251 schedualed adorers, but I am very rarely the only person at my hour. Outside of lent we have Adoration from 8 a.m. on wed. thru 8 a.m. on friday. We are blessed.
 
There’s a Church that we have (it’s not our parish) that has Adoration for 24/7 but they would close that for Sunday and Saturday Mass but we would go there in once in a while.🙂
