Actually, ‘us’ and ‘we’ are the same word. They are both forms of the first person plural pronoun. Pronouns change depending on how they function in a sentence and some of them change a lot (like we-us I-me he-him).

That said, I’m not sure if the beginning of Genesis is using what we would term today as the “royal we” or not. I think it would probably depend on what the Hebrew original said.

Okay, grammar-nerd moment over. Please resume your regularly scheduled discussion.
Up to this point of this thread, this is what I learned from the Quran as presented here by our friends: Allah, the God in the Quran, is a “We”, that is, more than one person.

As I see it now, the believers of the Quran do not believe the Quran at all.

This is the end of the chapter Maryam or Mary from Quran.

I love Jesus and Mary as mentioned in Quran.

Thanks

Hi

I don’t like a debate, I have mentioned it so many times here. I will prefer a peaceful group discussion, always.

I don’t write to win; I write in search of truth and to express the truth.

Kindly quote the answer from planten, I will see if it was OK then I don’t have a superiority complex.

I love Jesus and Mary as mentioned in Quran.

Thanks
OK then, forget Planten. You want an adult discussion. You started this thread answering my question about the teaching of Quran about Jesus and Mary.

And here I come asking you an adult question. My question is Why is Muhammad called Mary as sister of Aaron as per Quran quotation you gave me.

Now answer me as an adult, and don’t run away from my question, OK?

adult discussion.
Hi

I think that these were the words used by you. Yes, I started the thread as requested by you; and it will continue, as Jesus and Mary’s accounts are mentioned in many chapters of the Quran.

Regarding Aaron, you mentioned, brother planten gave you a reply. Kindly copy/paste it.

I understand there were many people named Jesus, John and Mary at that time. I don’t think that Jesus ever mentioned that there was no brother of Mary; or if there was one; there would be any problem to him or Mary.

I don’t really see any good reason for you asking this question, therefore.

I love Jesus and Mary as mentioned in Quran.

Thanks

Why don’t you answer my question please? Forget about Planten. He has his own idea. Planten is not the same person with Paarsurrey, correct? Who knows that you have a different answer or different idea. You want an adult discussion as mentioned in the title of your thread, so please be it.

You open a thread, and everybody may enter and ask question, correct? My reason for asking any question is none of your business. Do you need others to express their reason for asking before you give your answer?

You make a posting expressing your idea as and adult, so I come as an adult asking question. So, if you can answer me, please do. That what this forum is created for, correct? If your idea joining this forum is promoting your idea in one way communication only, then you have done a good job of creating your own blog.

If you can’t answer me now, perhaps you can say that you need to dig further and will come back later on. That is fine, and I will wait for you, and I will note that. You are always posting that you are always searching for the truth, are you not? So, in case you can’t answer me now, please just say so. Keep on searching. You can ask your teachers too. Don’t hesitate to learn. I know that Sister Amy has a sheik teacher too, and nothing wrong with that.

Hi

Mary’s name would come in verse 17 and Jesus’ name would come in verse 35. Kindly wait till it comes.

I love Jesus and Mary

Thanks
I love The Trinity, The Godhead, all mankind in general (and specifically Wanda). I guess I’m in trouble. 🙂 🙂 🙂

I did not say that Mary was a sister of Aaron. No, there is no such a record. The only thing closest to an identification of Mary with the Tribe of Levi is in Luke 1:5,36. That
Mary was a cousin or kinswoman to Elizabeth, a descendant of Aaron, the Levite. Since there is nothing stronger than this to identify her with the Tribe of Judah, we have no choice but to place
her in the Tribe of Levi.
Hi

I think brother swariffin’s query mentioned in some earlier post had been firstly answered by our friend planten; and now by our friend Ben Masada.

I am no scholar.

I love Jesus and Mary as mentioned in Quran.

Thanks

Hi

I think your question has been answered.

Thanks
Yes, Ben answered my question that Mary was never ever been called the sister of Aaron.

That is a proof that Mary could not be the sister of Aaron as per your Quran said. Even Ben strengthen my point that there was no record that Mary was called the sister of Aaron. So, Muhammad made a mistake, and consequently, Quran cannot be from God.

Hi

Is it a wise question? I don’t think so. The Jews were merely taunting Mary of her noble family. Are you with the Jews?

Thanks

The Jews were taunting Mary in the Quran? Is that also written in the Quran that the Jews were taunting Mary, or it is simply your or another’s guess?

No evidence that Mohammad is a prophet of God.

Forget about noble family of Mary. Ben told me that there was no record that Mary ever called the sister of Aaron as your Quran said. That means that Muhammad was in error, and Planten was quoting something from the thin air for his defense.

Hi

My Catholic friends and others would have noted in the chapter of Mary or Maryam in Quran that:
  1. Verses from 1-16 give life account of Jesus’ cousin John the Baptist or Yahya.
  2. Verses from 16-30 give life account of Mary, mother of Jesus.
  3. Verses from 30-37 provide life account of Jesus.
John the Baptist and Jesus were both born naturally of their mothers. Quran establishes the similarities of the events of John and Jesus; as to their birth, as to the dedication of John’s father and Jesus’ mother and their receiving Word of revelation from GodAllahYHWH, as to John’s and Jesus’ being Messenger of GodAllahYHWH etc.

I don’t see any difference among the both. They loved one another. They were good teachers of the Jewish faith.

If any Catholic friend or anybody else sees the difference; he is welcome to express it within the text and the context of Quran.

I love Jesus, Mary and Second Coming 1835-1908

Thanks

What I am interested in, is why Muhammad called Mary as the sister of Aaron? Ben has answer me that there was no record within the Jewish society that Mary was ever called “sister of Aaron”. If you can explain me, please do.

I have given you an appropriate answer; you may or may not accept it. I don’t want to impose anything on you. You are a free bird.

Hi everybody!

Relating to the issue of natural birth of Jesus from his mother Mary, I have started a new thread:

forums.catholic-questions.org/showpost.php?p=4838259&postcount=1
John the Baptist and Jesus both were born naturally of their mothers: within the text and context of Quran; Surah Maryam

I love Jesus and Mary as mentioned in Quran.

Thanks
I think you mean a different Mary, not the one in Christian Bible. Biblical Mary was not a sister of Aaron who live several thousand years earlier.

Oh I see, you mean Mary of the Quran. Ya, that’s an interesting story.
