Please pray for me. I have broken my marriage vow and cheated on my wife.
Please ask The Lord to forgive me and I can get though this guilt. I am so stupid and feel like ****. I have no excuse for it.
Please pray for me.

Lord please give him grace of a good Confession with determination never to sin against God his wife and the Sacrament ever again. Rain Your pardon upon his soul and help him to faithfully and kindly be the best man and husband that he can be with Your grace.
Lord grant him the humility, generosity and grace not to make this about himself in guilt, but about loving his wife and strengthening his marriage.

Holy Mother Mary pray for him now and at the hour of his death.
 
3 O’Clock Prayer to the Divine Mercy

You expired, Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls
and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world.
O Fountain of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy,
envelop the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us.

I pray, Mercy1, that you go to a priest as soon as you can because adultery is a mortal sin. It must be absolved by a priest.

It is a start to know you are guilty and to feel sorry. But make sure you “confess your sins, do penance, and amend your life”. I will pray that God gives you much grace.

Confession will start the healing process. If you can’t say it, I have heard writing it down on a piece of paper and handing it to a Priest is easier. If I feel really bad about a sin, after confession, I will walk the stations of the cross with a St. Joseph’s prayer book and recite at each station.

Dear Jesus, You who forgave the woman caught in adultery, forgive this weak man, as we are all weak without your arm supporting our every step. Recognise his sorrow and contrition as we all kneel contrite before you. He recognises how stupid he was. Strengthen his resolve not to fail again. May he recommit to being an even better husband in reparation to his wife and you, suffering for his sin on Calvary.
 
I encourage you to seek counseling to explore what motivated you to cheat on your wife, and build skills to avoid this temptation in the future.

May you find mercy and peace in your life. His mercy is always there to guide us, do not despair, you are worthy of God’s love and his grace. Do not let the evil one tell you otherwise.

All have sinned, all fall short of the Glory of God. Let God forgive you and think of your wife. I confess that I have unresolved issues of a similar nature that I am only just coming to terms with after a divorce in a mixed up marriage. I do not have the recourse of going to a Priest as I am a Catholic only by Baptism of Desire as I explained in Traditional Catholicism when I joined. I hope to go to RCIA this September if I do not move again. I made a lot of excuses and have just realized certain things but coming here I realize how serious my sins were, even though I never technically committed actual adultery. Watch out for therapists though, if you see a woman there will be a tendency to become emotionally attached to her, this was where it started with me.
