Hi… my wife(adventist) & I(catholic) has been married for 5 years in a judge, we are planning to have a church wedding but until now we are still undecided in which church would takes place. Are there any ways to make an adventist-catholic wedding?

the Catholic party needs to speak to his priest and make arrangements to have the marriage convalidated. The priest will explain what needs to be done, what preparation will take place, where and how the wedding will be celebrated and by whom, and he will also obtain the necessary dispensations from the bishop. The Catholic party will promise to do all in his power to baptized raise children of the marriage Catholic. See your pastor.

PLEASE, I urge you to do what puzzleannie said. Please. It is time for the holidays (not to be confused with Advent and upcoming Christmas seasons). People go a little nuts, and you are going to get a wide range of opinion. Your priest will know best. God bless!

If I might be so presumptuous… why has this now become important?

basically we really want a church wedding if we were only in the same religion.that’s why im finding a way to make it fair in both partys

Well, look into it, but the radical differences between those two sects may not make that possible.

I have a story that might be helpful, but I have to go get a kid from school and will post it later.

it is not a matter of “making it fair to both parties” the Catholic party is bound by Church law on marriage. See your pastor.
