Sounds like you are a more “aware” member of the male species who truly appreciates his wife. However, you are possibly an exception. Yes, thank God for mothers. Without them children would never grow up to be either disciplined or loving. Too bad more men aren’t right in there with the wife recognizing it takes two to raise children. Do you happen to be standing in front of my pointed index finger? If I read you right, please do not cast aspersions on my mother, one of the sweetest, loving persons who ever lived. And if I did read you right, you owe my mother an apology. 😦
I am intrigued that any woman should think her role in life negative. Mother-hood the greatest gift.

To think that even the unfathomable Infinite omnipotent Almighty God has a Mother in His incarnate Son. So in a sense then surely it would logically make sense to say God the Father has a mother since there is God the Son in God the Father.

If Jesus is truly God then all of God has a Mother. Wow, small wonder some Protestants find it preposterous. How can that which existed before come from that which existed after! So the infinite Almighty God even defies the rules of logic.

Blessings and peace

AS far as I know Medjugure is not approved by the Church because it is a false apparition… I dont know why its false. need to do more research eh!
…mostly because it didn’t happen.

For more research, check my post on the first page (i think). I provide many links. Good luck.

You are wrong! It is not approved by the Church because a final determination has not being made yet.
Some people believe it to be true, some others believe it to be false. It does not make any difference, the Church has not spoken yet.

It has been declared by the local bishop to be False.

Furthermore, an investigations of its fruits and supposed ‘revelations’ show it to be false.

Furthermore, Vatican insiders acknoweldge it to be false.

My chief concern is this: this group is very heavily committed to promoting Medjegorie. They speak about it as if it is sanctioned by the Church. Our dear old Priest will not accept anything Medjegorie in the Parish but the group are now too strong for him and are riding roughshod over his feelings and views. I want to get some real information about the Church position.

They insist that Rome DOES accept Medjegorie, it is only that Rome has not officially rubber stamped it yet but that this is only a short time away. .
As a Catholic deacon in good standing and member of the Catholic Clergy, I have been to Medjugorje twice. I have spent a total of just over 3 weeks there. I have preached there, assisted at the masses as deacon, etc.

About two years ago, I wanted to start another trip there and spoke to one of the auxiliary bishops for my Archdiocese and asked if he would be the priest to accompany us. He explained to me that the Church has come out with a statement that it discourages all pilgrimages there due to the manifest disobedience of all concerned in Medjugorje. This is from the priests at St James through the visionaries. The original bishop of the Diocese of Mostar and his successor have both disavowed the apparitions there. They are the ones who give approval and it has not been given.

One of the vows I made at the time of ordination was a vow of obedience to my bishop (this includes his auxiliaries) and as such I have dropped all plans to go there. Until such time as the Church gives an OK, under obedience, I will not go.

People will ask that if this has not been approved, how can such good come out of it as has been reported. The answer is simple. The shepherd does not abandon his flock. God can use any situation to bring people back home.
Prayers & blessings
Deacon Ed B
