I think sitters should be told or understand that those kids or others that they attend are LOVED and that they are to care for them as if they LOVED them too.
You have made a very important point. Taking care of others is a huge responsibility. The American Red Cross Chapters offer babysitting and child care training. Teens are especially encouraged to enroll to provide safe and high quality care to those entrusted to them.
