I have decided that I am going to convert to Catholicism. However, this being my senior year of highschool, and due to the length of RCIA, I decided to wait until I moved away to college. Since I won’t know the area I’m moving to very well, and I know no Catholics in the area, I was wondering if there is anything I should look out for in choosing a church. I don’t want to go there and commit to a church only to find out that they are teaching bad doctrine. The church closest to St. John’s College (which is in Anapolis, Maryland) is this: stmaryschurch.org/main.asp?page=3
Is this a good church? Are there better churches in the area?
Any help that can be given would be appreciated.
