Let her do all the talking and offer what support you can. You cannot help her until she decides it is time for her to help herself. It is very hard to stand by and watch those we care about make what seems to us to be obvious mistakes, but she has to start any action, you can’t do it for her. 😦
 
One thing to remember though is that if he truly is an abusive man, you don’t want him to think you are trying to take her away. If you do approach her to consult her about finding help, seeking shelter, or even coming away with you. .make sure it’s when he’s not there. You don’t want her to suffer even more from you trying to help.

Abusive relationships are dangerous, but make sure that’s what is going on before assuming. Verbal abuse is bad, and shouldn’t happen either. But to make an accusation of physical abuse, you need to be sure. It can be dangerous for both of you if it is true, but it can be severely damaging to a rough relationship if it’s not true and others start thinking it is.
