The story of Alma the younger really resonates with me. I will always love Alma 36. Seriously, read it. In honesty, it is a fairly good rip-off of the story of Saul/Paul.What “good parts” does it have that we do not already possess? Personally, when I started reading it I got physically ill and had the distinct feeling that this wasn’t something I should be doing. Very weird. I gave it back to the missionaries on their return. Other than the portions lifted from the Bible I can’t think of any value there at all.

The whole book of Ether. I will always love how it ends.
The Book of Mormon isn’t “true”, but that doesn’t mean it is devoid of worth entirely, although it is fair to say that to take it as anything than fiction is spiritually dangerous. But as fiction, it has its moments. =)
