I have friends that are not strong beleivers in their faith . What can I do other than pray] that would guide them back to God?

Follow St Francis advise. When you are around them “Always preach the Gospel even if sometimes you have to use words”. Show them how living your faith, gives you joy and peace and helps you be a better person.
