On Sunday I realized my father did not go to communion, he was planning on going last night, but decided to go on Wednesday instead because he wanted to see if my brother would go with him who was coming home from college. I encouraged him to go last night by saying my brother and sister could go together. But I feel guilty that I didn’t tell him he should go to confession as soon as possible after committing a mortal sin. Did I commit a mortal sin by not telling him?

No, you encouraged him to go last night. If he didn’t take you up on it then it’s his own choice as a grown adult.
You’re not responsible for him. You can gently remind him to go on Wednesday.

No, you are not responsible for him. However, as my father often did with me, he would just say something like: “Mass is at 10:00, confessions are 45 minutes before mass”. It’s a gentle reminder.
