Those guys didn’t practice Marian devotion and they still made it to Heaven.
ROTFL!!!
Well as I said it is not impossible the get to heaven without devotion to the Blessed Mother, just infinitely harder.
However, let me ask you something, what proof do you have that they were not devoted to the Blessed Mother? Your profile says Catholic, do you know that the Catholic Church teaches, as handed down from tradition from the beginning, that the apostles drew inspiration and comfort from the Blessed Mother during their trials and tribulations? They in fact all met after her death:
“The Apostles carried the couch, and laid down her [Mary’s] precious and holy body in Gethsemane in a new tomb. And behold, a perfume of sweet savour came forth out of the sepulcher of Our Lady and Mother of God; and for three days the voices of invisible angels were heard glorifying Christ our God, who had been born of her.”
That sounds like devotion to me!
However let us look at what a few other Saints have said:
St. Bonaventure: The angels never stop calling to her “Holy, Holy, Holy Mary, Virgin Mother of God”
St. Augustine:
St. Michael is the most eager to pay her homage
“All the chosen ones are hidden in the womb of the Blessed Virgin, during this life, to be made into the image of the Son of God.”
St John Damascene: “To be devout to thee, O Blessed Virgin, is a weapon of salvation God gives to those He wants to save.”
St. Francis: St. Francis was in ecstasy and shown a ladder that reached heaven, the Blessed Mother was at the top and he was told he must go through her to enter eternal bliss.
St. Bernard: “When you want to offer anything to God, be sure to offer it through the most agreeable and most worthy hands of Mary-unless you wish it to be rejected.”
But let us not consider the Saints, lets look at scripture and common sense. Would any King be happy with a slave who was not devoted to His Queen? Forget not that scripture tells us in both 1 Kings and Revelations that she is Queen of heaven and earth. Would any King be happy with a slave who was not devoted to His mother, spouse or daughter? Remember that is what the Blessed Virgin Mary truly is, she is the daughter of the Father, mother of the Son and spouse of the Holy Spirit.
