First of all, I would like to ask that you continue to pray that we all love God more, our neighbors more, and the truth more. That will pretty much help answer any prayer intentions anyone has… as we love others and God, our wills can submit to whatever comes.

But, more specifically (and I don’t have to share any details but I will because it makes me feel better), please pray for an issue that has arisen for me and I am concerned about.

There was a person I saw about a year ago who looked at me a couple times (nothing major, we just made eye contact and he didn’t smile back) and ever since then I have struggled with lust regarding this person.

I thought I would never see him again, but it turns out he is going to be a new core member for Life Nights (Life Teen youth group; sorry if you are not partial to Life Teen; I admit it is sometimes silly and suspect).

So now I will probably see him every Sunday. And I am quite frightened, so just please pray for my (and everyone’s) purity and that we may seek the good of others above our own good, that I may have the strength to talk to him and see him as a PERSON not an OBJECT.

Thank you. and be sure to pray these prayers for everyone who struggles in the same way! That is one good thing about suffering. It teaches you compassion and understanding of others who go through the same thing, instead of looking down on them as weak. Although perhaps this would never be a problem if no one suffered! :hmmm:

Dear Friend, you must pray about the root of your uneasy feeling. Often, my uneasy feeling is based on good old plain horse sense. I’m glad you’ve come here to help you verify in prayer. You might want to look for advice on one of the other forums.

By all means be charitable, but never put anyone’s purity at risk.

I hope I haven’t misunderstood your post. Good bless you as you continue to sort this matter out.

Could I ask how old you both are ? And do you have,or ever had a partner ?
There is nothing wrong with attraction, it’s what makes us human,
We are a social creature ,and often we look at people as a potential mate,
Even married people do subconsciously ,but never goes anywhere,
It’s probable this person feels no attraction to you whatsoever ,
But if you have an unhealthy attraction, you could ask yourself what exactly makes you feel this way, what could be lacking in your own live that makes you think this ?
I would love to know what your answer could be,
