Matthew Parris is an openly declared atheist (he is also gay, which probably does not endear organised Christianity to him). Neverthless this article argues that Christian faith has a positive effect in Africa, it draws people out of the groupthink of their tribes and creates individuals.
There are one million converts every year in Africa to the Catholic faith. Doesn’t matter about this one guy… He too will see the light when he’s dying and calls out Jesus…I will pray for him. BTW, it isn’t so much that he is gay than him being a non-believer.
