The article is a month old but I did not see it posted.

What’s strange here, is that I checked a few articles, I see it mentioned nowhere that Father Jude himself had COVID-19. I wonder what the updates are?

A Cameroon priest was captured on video Sunday collapsing and dying right in the middle of preaching a sermon.

The priest, identified as Rev. Jude, was the spiritual director of Cameroon’s Catholic Men Association.

A video shared on Twitter by Chidi Odinkalu, a lawyer and former chairman of Nigeria’s National Human Rights Commission, shows Jude delivering a sermon in Douala, a commercial city along the coast of Cameroon.

I assume it has nothing to do with COVID. When Covid kills you, it’s after a period of you being laid out struggling to breathe. The fact that he was standing and speaking clearly and suddenly collapsed suggests something else entirely.
 
Is the headline intended to imply that the mask inhibited his breathing or something? The inclusion of that detail seems odd and irrelevant otherwise.
 
We had several threads on this including a video of him fainting at the lectern, which I believe was deleted by the mods.

By the way, the priest was misidentified in many media articles as Fr. Jude.
He’s actually named Fr. Jean and was from the Ivory Coast.

He appears to have had a heart attack of some sort based on this article, which would make sense given his symptoms.
I have not read anything about his having COVID.
