There is one little thing in the Sacramentary that jars me at Mass. After we have received Communion, the Lord remains with us, Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity, for 15 or so minutes, until we are on our way home, most of the time. So why does the Sacramentary call for the priest to say the words: “The Lord be with you?” Of all the times possible, this is the time He IS with us already. The greeting seems to ignore what we believe is the truth of the situation. The Church is usually very precise in her official wordings. Any thoughts?
