This post is controlling, overly critical and being a know-it-all. How can you say that you adhere to Catholic doctrine that being those thing is bad, and then say, “Nah, I don’t think so. We all flawed.”
But we are all flawed, and your doctrine, saying not to do that ****, also says to work towards not having any sins. Meanwhile, everything that a human being does is not of his own will, you are an animal with animal instincts and do as your brain chemistry forces you to do. In everything.
So what would make you want to not sin? Being afraid of your punishment to come. “Hell” they call it. Eternity. They say it’s hot down there. If you don’t want to stop sinning, altogether, (and there’s tons of sins. Most of them are listed in your “Catechism of the Catholic Church”) then you don’t fear hell, or love your god enough and are full of your know-it-allness which says you’re smarter than your “all powerful creator” and two thousand years of saints and clergymen.
Then again, wouldn’t our world be a more hospitable place if we just left each other be? We label what we don’t understand in our fear of change and not being in command. We say the things we don’t care for are sins, and say that those who do these things are insane or retarded as an excuse to account for our prejudice. When in actuality we are demonstrating our stupidity through ignorance and intolerance.
I simply don’t understand why people are so intensely worried about “pride” when they completely forget about their “golden rule”. Treat each other as you want to be treated. Or at least love ya momma and don’t hate anyone else. Don’t judge them. Don’t speak ill of them. Really isn’t hard, rather than calling it the golden rule, I call it “Not being a shitbag.”
