Age of Apostles

Jesus was 30 at the time he began his public ministry and 33 at his death.

Mary was mid-teens at the annunciation, which would have made her mid- to late-40s during Jesus’ public ministry.

But what about the apostles? Do we have any information on their approximate ages? I know John was “young,” probably in his mid- to late-teens, and Peter was not. Is there any historical or traditional “guess-timates” as to the ages of the apostles, including Paul? (I was thinking about Judas and realized I knew very little about him or the others beyond the strictly biblical or fanciful Hollwood renditions.)

I heard that St Paul was born about the same time as Jesus though not sure how accurate that is. He seems to be relatively old in the way he describes Timothy in the letters to him though

We don’t know the age of Jesus. Luke says Jesus was about 30 when he started his public ministry. That could mean late 20’s or early 30’s.

Jesus was born about 6 BC and started his public ministry in 27 AD. That would make him about 33 at that time and about 36 when he suffered his passion. (These numbers from the chronology of La Bible de Jérusalem…)

I’ve heard that Paul/Saul was probably born about 10 AD.

based on how the apostles interacted in the gospels, Peter was the oldest among them. In Acts 15 for example James was the oldest person there. Basically, the oldest person in Jewish setting speaks last, youngest speaks first, so not to unduley influnce the decisions of others.
