Hi Michael…I am Australian and am not aware of situation with male religious here - and certainly not overseas. I hope that some informed CAF member(s) will post an answer to your question still …Blessings…Barb

There are several that have no upper age limit listed. Here is a link - try doing an advanced search for “belated/older vocations.”
(Just a bit of a warning - I’ve had trouble with the advanced search once in awhile -works most of the time, though.)

You might check European orders. They don’t have the same concerns about being bankrupted by medical expenses that US orders have.

Once again, it’s up to you to do the searching. Get online with a fast connection (library if nothing else) and a copy of Guide to Religious Ministries --10$ from Catholic News and/pr or a free copy of VISION magazine and start searching. The Guide is more comprehensive.

Almost all orders are in trouble. Some say no older than 45 for men, but I’ll bet that they will make exceptions. I wouldn’t take no for an answer from an order you’re really interested in without visiting them and getting a response face to face.
