Agnosticism

I like the analogy my Philosophy of Religion professor used.

Imagine a couple is dating, and they have been dating a good while. Inevitably the question of marriage comes up. The man states that he is not ready to get married, is waiting for certainty, etc. This continues for 30 years. Essentially his refusal to answer the question is practically the same as saying no.

I feel that agnostics are pretty much in a practical sense the same as atheists.
What if one is an agnostic theist?

What if one is an agnostic theist?

If by that you mean a theist who lacks the courage of his convictions, such do exist. For example, any Catholic who believes gays should be able to marry and it should be legal to kill the unborn, is truly a “doubting” Catholic, though I’d prefer to call him a cafeteria Catholic … well meaning maybe but soft in the head.

Pagan gods are dead, dumb idols–not in the same league with the Living God.

Jehovah is not First–He is Only, just like Jesus–there is no other name in heaven or in earth whereby we must be saved.

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God.

Where will we be in a hundred years?

Selah,

James Least
