At the beginning of the Canon, he said, “Let us stand and show by our unified posture that we are a Resurrection people.”

.
Certainly this [edited by Moderator] didn’t use the ROMAN Canon? EP I?

I have heard the the director of Liturgy for my diocese scoff at EP I as "old fashioned"and “stoneage”

No, he used Canon III.

That’s the great value of ad orientem, too, by the way. We just “do” the liturgy.

When His Excellency faced us that morning and declared we were going to stand (when the liturgy called for us to kneel), he was stopping the liturgy and imposing his will on a captive audience. The audience rebelled, if you will…and he returned to the liturgy. I am told he never asked another congregation at that chapel to stand again.

Much like so called litrugists who often have desires of Power to impose on parishes. My small diocese of roughly 180,000 Catholics does not have a single “liturgist”. As someone who has been on the Litrugy committe for a very long time…I assure you in agreement with my priest that there is aboslutely NO REASON have a liturgist. A mustic director is very important…but their job should stop at music.
