Does anyone know where I can obtain an Agnus Dei sacramental? I understand that Pope Paul VI stopped the practice of the Agnus Dei sacramental, but I’d love to get one if there are any left.

I found some on eBay when I was looking for something differant. Though I can’t vouch for their authenticity or whatnot. Further, I would double check the legality of buying and selling such a Sacremental.

I don’t think you can buy them, period. My thought was that someone might know of a place where you can still get them (e.g., convent or monestary that kept a bunch).

General observation: It is wrong to sell a blessed object, and I think the blessing is voided by the sale. I don’t think there is a prohibition against buying one. In fact buying one might be meritorious, if it keeps it from profane use. :twocents:

I have one that has a tiny bit of the sacramental wax inside a small silver locket. I wear it around my neck with my Miraculous Medal. I bought it online at www.totallycatholic.com. They said it was free but they asked for a donation of $4.00. (to cover shipping costs, etc., I think.)
I certainly hope the blessing is not invalid now. ( I paid the $4) I think it is a really cool thing to own. Haven’t been on that site in a while though, so not sure if they have any available right now, but check it out.

What was the reason Pope Paul VI stopped the practice? Maybe it is a reason not to get one.
