Hello, I’m trying to find this one quote from the Agony & Ecstasy movie by Charlton Heston and Rex Harrison. It was one of Contessina’s lines, during the very end of the movie when they were celebrating Mass at the Sistine Chapel, where she talks to Michaelangelo about how now she understood that something beautiful could be created even without them two having a relationship, or something like that. I don’t have the movie recorded on DVR anymore and I tried looking for the quote online, but for some reason I couldn’t find it. I’d be willing to buy the dvd myself, but I’d rather not spend the money if I don’t have to. So if any of you has the dvd or something to find out, that would be great. Thanks.

This may be the site and the quote:

springfieldspringfield.co.uk/movie_script.php?movie=agony-and-the-ecstasy-the

This script doesn’t mark the characters, just includes the quotes. You can kind of tell who is speaking them if you saw and remember the movie: 🙂

What can I say?
I think there is more love here
than could ever exist…
between man and woman.
That’s what you meant.
Thanks for reminding me of that fine movie. BOY was a photo of Diane Cilento in The Agony and the Ecstasy hard to FIND! This one, is big, I found no smaller. :nope: Sorry moderators, remove if necessary, I mean no harm.

The script is well written. While looking for your quote, I found the political defense of Julius interesting in the passage just before it.

In the movie Pope Julius (Rex Harrison) is rather the antagonist for the most part … with Michaelangelo (Charlton Heston) the protagonist (hero).

Yes, that’s perfect! That’s the exact quote that I was looking for. Thanks for the help.👍
