Ok, so I was a little hungry and I started eating a 1.2oz fiber bar. I looked at the clock and realized that it was about 10 minutes after midnight, so I spit out the last bite.

This doesn’t count as my one meal, does it?

It’s not a meal, and it wasn’t intentional. Don’t be concerned.

May God abundantly bless you this Easter.

Both Christ and his Church invite you to obedience in joy, not obedience in panic. You’re fine. I’ll eat 1.2 oz less for you.

We are allowed to have one full meal and two tiny meals (that together shouldn’t equal another full meal).

Well, for breakfast, my meal usually consists of a 1.58oz breakfast nutrition bar. That 1.2oz fiber bar is pretty close to a full meal (for my breakfast, anyway).

by meal they are talking about a regular meal like bacon eggs n two slices of toast. So on a fast you might have an egg, and slice of toast. One bar would be like 1/2 a meal.

You stopped eating as soon as you noticed the time, so your good. Only now I’m hungry 😃

I think I’m going to try to go without food until after midnight.

Only 12 hours and 15 minutes remaining. 😃

Please allow me to say that if there are any diabetics on here It is not good to do the fast I am a type one diabetic and if I do the fast I will pass out. My priest also said the same thing from the ambo during his homily on Ash Wednesday.

No, it doesn’t.

The fast does end at midnight, right?
Well, for you, 10 minutes after midnight. 🙂

One of my good memories from childhood was to wake up Saturday morning and find half-eaten meat-laden pizza that my parents brought home after midnight. They always left us plenty to go with our morning cartoons. We loved it!
