**Air Head America: No Apologies Necessary
None acceptable.

Yesterday, an Air-head America radio shock jock staged a “mock” assassination of President George Bush. The completely unknown and equally irrelevant jock (purposely not using his name here thereby giving this heretical brat the attention he craves) performed a segment, as reported by Matt Drudge, that featured a gunshot warning to the president.

In the skit, an insulting “redneck” voice drawls on and says: “A spoil’d chile is tellin’ us ahr Soshul Sec-yer-ity izn’t safe anymore, he’s gone ta fix it fer us. Whel, heeeeeeeeere’s yer answer ya’ lil’ basturd.”: [audio sound of 4 gunshots being fired.] “Jus’ try it, you lil’ basturd. [audio of gun being cocked].” “The Ay.Ay.Ayyyy.AR.Pee. The American Association of Aaaarmed Retired Peope."*(translation, below).

How ironic, for the first time in history liberals are seeing the value of Armed Americans and Southerners.

Well certainly belittling the South and pretending that everyone who lives there is a knuckledragging moron certainly helped Democrats in the last election. I guess they didn’t learn anything.

Hopefully the market will take care of Air America.

I hope this guy gets a nice midnight visit from the FBI and the Secret Service. He could use a good talking too. Hee, hee, hee!

**Hey, they were seen as too far left by most Americans so what do they do, they hire extremist Howard Dean to run their party! **

I often think the reason for the Democrats weird positions on social issues is not that they are evil, it’s just that they do not have the capacity to fully understanding certain concepts. For example, they are in favor of embryonic stem cell research because, while they can see ill people who are suffering, they can’t visualize how an embryo can be human.

Correction – they support emgryonic stem cell research because they hope to use it to legitimize abortion. “I was pregnant, and I selflessly donated my fetus to science!”

Can you believe the Democrats even allow, much less encourage, affiliation with Air America?

**Yes, sadly, I can see that being said. **

Yes, like Michael Moore, you wonder why they want all that baggage. Somehow I think they can’t talk the talk without walking the walk. If they ‘tolerate’ one group of wierdos, it would seem like discrimination to refuse to affiliate with another group of wierdos.

Howard Dean was hired to build the grassroots of the Democratic Party based on his incredibly successful grassroots Presidential campaign. The Chairman of the DNC has nothing to do with formulating policy.

While I think that the bit in question was definitely in very poor taste, I must admit that for the most part I like AAR. Many times it is a welcome alternative to the constant barrage of RW punditspew that is heard on most radio stations, and the weak-kneed excuse for journalism that seems to be the forte’ of the MSM. The radio hosts certainly have the right to speak their minds (within reason…incidents like the one in question excluded), and they are at least as truthful and accurate as the Limbaughs, Hannitys, Ingrahams, etc. of the world. Just because one doesn’t agree with them is no reason to “shut 'em down”. I would no more advocate that than I would pulling the plug on Rush or the “Faux News” channel.

Peace!

Maybe not, but as the figurehead, he’ll get on the air and make a synonym for mule out of himself and the greatest party in America will suffer for it.

Very Clintonian of you to use the word “policy”. While the DNC Chairman doesn’t formulate policy, he does chair the platform commitee for the Democratic Party. Since the platform is a basic description of the party’s stance on issues, it seems to me that his radical stances might influence the platform.

I read. I learned. I thought. I switched parties.

Who’s calling for them to be shut down? I’ve only heard people say the market will take care of them. It probably will.

Most of their hosts are far left. If they had some more moderate, sensible hosts, they might survive. The best I’ve heard is Ed Schultz, but he’s on the same time as Michael Medved, and Medved engages the other side more. Debate makes for more interesting radio, rather than constantly preaching to the choir. Some conservative hosts are equally guilty, but I listen them for various reasons. Conservatives have a variety of styles available to them that just don’t seem to be there on Air America.

Peace.
