hillary will be disappointed. that was one of her favorite channels.

From the OP’s link:

*The company was the target of lawsuits from former employees who had complained about a culture of fear, and anti-Semitic and sexist behavior among executives. *

Anti-Semitic and sexist were only to be expected, but a “culture of fear”? Fear of what, exactly? I think we should be told.

RT, originally Russia Today, is a Russian government-funded television network which runs cable and satellite television channels, as well as Internet content directed to audiences outside the Russian Federation. RT International, which is based in Moscow, presents around-the-clock news bulletins, documentaries, talk shows, and debates, as well as sports news and cultural programmes about Russia.[5] RT operates as a multilingual service with channels in three languages: the original English language channel was launched in 2005, followed by the Arabic language channel in 2007 and the Spanish language channel in 2009. RT America (since 2010),[6] and RT UK (since 2014) offer some locally based content for those countries.

I travel often and most of the big hotel chains carry RT. I like their documentaries. It is nice to have something different than the usual American MSM.

oh that is right. I remember that channel when we used to have satellite. thanks for refreshing my memory.

I wish I could say that I’m disappointed, but unless it changed in the first few weeks of broadcast, Al Jazeera America wasn’t really that different from the other cable news networks. I was hoping for a different perceptive on current events (expect it to be twisted for their own agenda) that would be different from the usual **** that is MSNBC and Fox News but ended up getting a little more conservative version of CNN.

I can’t imagine any journalistic ethics were practiced there. Looks like thier stab at Peyton manning ultimately brought them down. Odd, that would bring them down and not having an anti Semitic middle eastern station that in many minds was synonymous with terrorism.

The NFL is more powerful than western ideology. I don’t know if that is a kudos to the NFL or a slap on the face to Obama…

That’s probably a bad sign.

1500 years ago sports was a platform for politics. Troubling to see sports actually becoming a politic…
