Al Jazeera English - Do you welcome it?

As opposed to the ever truthful “Communist News Network” as I have heard it called? (and I tend to agree) I don’t allow my kids to watch CNN any more than I would let them watch TV-MA.
 
I would hope that they would give an exact English version of their Arabic broadcasts. We need to know exactly what is being pumped out by them. But how would we ever know? In any event “Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.”

You know, it’s interesting…the NY Times did a piece after the election that showed the voting trends of all the major news networks. Every single one of them (except Fox) voted more than 85% Democrat and Fox was only at 58% Democrat.

I think fox news was set up to be a counterpart to CNN. It may as well be the Republican news channel. I like it most of the time, yet MSNBC seems a bit more neutral or balanced.

I have not and won’t be watching it - but with the quality so poor on the other 199 chanels I can’t see a reason to be particularly concerned about this one.
 
What do they say about keeping your friends close and your enemies closer? We need to keep an eye on Al Jezeera.
