So I’m worried now about Canada and the future of Catholics that live there. Why is the government trying to intervene in Catholic teachings? Such acts are horrific and is contradicting Catholic teachings, that should be taught in a Catholic setting

I’m concerned about Australian Catholic education, also.
The freedom of conscience and choice of some, will always be suppressed by freedom of choice and conscience of others, even if those most sinned against in this regard are the overwhelming majority.
Joe, it’s all about 'social justice and equality"…except that in reality it isn’t equality and it isn’t just.

I don’t know the nuances of what all is taught along with the school’s teachings on contraception, such as being taught an awareness of being used simply for sex. All that I hear about is that the physical health of teens is at risk if they are not taught about contraception. But that viewpoint is so shallow. Where is the acknowledgment that an immature teenager, living in the convoluted world that we do, is likely causing damage to their own mental well-being by engaging in casual sex.

I remember High School. I remember how many people were mentally/emotionally damaged by casual sex. I often wonder how many of the suicides I knew of had elements of that in them…I know at least one that did.
