When you call an artist that you met two times and tell him that you’ve been in love with him for over a year.
I don’t get how anyone does tequila shots. that stuff tastes nasty. On the other hand, I can drink vodka shots all day.I do around 4-5 shots of tequila when I get home from work. I don’t get drunk, well, a little tipsy, but after I eat I am fine.
If you are an alcoholic, you recognize the problem and should seek treatment to stop drinking. In reading this and looking at the ref “Drunkeness” & “Gluttony”…my question is if condition is “alcoholic”-do I have to continue to confess? Are we to confess habitual offenses because of being alcoholic?
4-5 shots…not a good thing, IMO. I do hope you are not driving anywhere after that, even after eating. Tipsy is drunk.I do around 4-5 shots of tequila when I get home from work. I don’t get drunk, well, a little tipsy, but after I eat I am fine.
Absolutely not. I ride a motorcycle too. I would never drink and drive or even drink and walk outside.4-5 shots…not a good thing, IMO. I do hope you are not driving anywhere after that, even after eating. Tipsy is drunk.
How are those normal weights?4-5 shots seems like a lot.
In the alcohol safety program that I was involved with a few years ago, the guideline was that women of normal weight (110-115 pounds) are too drunk to drive after two drinks within the same hour, and that men of normal weight (130-140 pounds) are too drunk to drive after three drinks within the same hour.
More muscle absorbs alcohol more slowly, but more fat absorbs alcohol more quickly, so heavier people who have more fat will get drunk more quickly, but heavier people who are very muscular will get drunk more slowly.
People who weigh less than 100 pounds should not drink at all.
A “drink” was defined as one ounce of hard liquor, or four ounces of wine, or eight ounces of beer.
15 years, and they were assuming young adults not used to drinking. The program was for employees of a University campus pub.How are those normal weights?Maybe for very petite individuals… So I suppose that means “average” men/women can drink more than this? Exactly how old are these guidelines?
Well, I would say " You aren’t his Mother and he is a big boy" As long as he doesn’t abuse you or it affects your marriage, let it be. Why start an argument?I recently told my husband that he drinks too much. He didn’t take it well. He was drinking several drinks every night and I told him it was unhealthy and it bothered me. His response was, “I eat well, run 5 miles everyday, and put in a long day at work. Having some drinks each night is fine.”
He is a wonderful husband. I’m blessed to have him. But I believe I am right on this one. He has stopped having his weekday drinks claiming that I’m a nag, and is now giving me the silent treatment. He doesn’t want to discuss it either.
How should I approach this? I don’t want to seem like a nag!
