Has our dear brother, Alex Roman, left us? Given the current status of his religious affiliation I’m afraid that he is gone. I hope that such is not the case. Alex, come back!!!:crying:
 
There may yet be hope. He actually has made some posts since setting that status.

He would be missed if indeed he intends that to be final, however.

Alex, if you’re reading this, please stick around.
 
If true, his departure will be a great loss for this forum. He was well-learned and had a disinclination to engage in bickering or to use harsh words (more than I can say for myself, for sure).
 
I really like him.

We used to butt heads years ago, an enriching experience! I hope we always have the good man with us.

As you all can see I don’t post on here often, but this is an occasion in which I MUST speak out! Though I don’t post much, I am quite a devoted browser of these forums, and Alex Roman is one of my favorite posters to read. I have gained many insights from him and I hope he doesn’t go so I can continue to do so!

There was a time (not all that long ago) when I actually why a person would terminate his association with this forum. That is no longer the case: it’s all become rather clear to me. I’ve thought about it myself (as if anyone would notice, but I digress), but of course I’m still here, albeit that I’ve cut down a lot on posting.

It seems that Alex has been missing for a week or so now, so I wouldn’t necessarily “count him out” just yet. Maybe he’s just taking a “breather” from the forum. In case anyone hasn’t noticed, things around here can, and sometimes do, get to be very repetitious and terribly frustrating. Plus, I’ve seen a number of posters vanish and then return after they’ve had a chance to rest and refresh. Perhaps Alex will be among them.
 
A wonderful man with excellent insights to offer us! I know that I’ve learned quite a bit reading his posts and essays on different websites, and I actually taught some of it to my fiancee’s family this past Sunday when they were over visiting.

I’ll beg you to come back if you have not done so by this weekend. For now, this is just a friendly appeal.😃

Oh, what a bummer. I hope he’s only taking a breather, and will join us again. His departure is a real loss for the Eastern Catholicism forum. I, too, have learned a great deal from his involvement. 😦
 
Just affirming what the other posters have already said. I will only add in addition that there is no one else on these forums with quite the kind of wit he has. :tiphat: Please come back Alex!
 
His religion was strange however. Former CAF member. What does that even stand for…? Was it some kind of a cult…? 😉

Oh, all right. I’m back.

And “CAF” stands for “Catholic Answers Forums.” It could be a religion, depending on how frequently one comes here, I suppose.
