Hi,
I have a dad who played college football and has struggled with depression and poor financial decisions, poor reasoning and unemployment- and we have wondered if he has CTE ( chronic traumatic encephalopathy) that football players are getting diagnosed with. In one study 97% of college and professional football players showed signs of it). There’s no current way to diagnose it in a living person, only on autopsy. My concern is the impact this has had on my family and on others, and there’s little social support currently for this, as the science is so young. If our men cannot reason due to brain injury how can they lead families?

Please pray that no parent puts their child in contact sports like football. Pray that we find a treatment. Pray that families have the strength to carry this heavy chaotic and expensive cross. Pray that young men with no other way to get to college do not take a football scholarship because they risk injuring the brain that they are trying to educate. And pray for my patience.
 
I pray that God blesses us with treatment for this problem and that He strengthens and comforts the families that have to suffer through this. Lastly, I pray that He helps you be patient. Amen.
 
Prayer for Athletes

Dear Lord,
You created us in Your image and made our bodies
temples of the Holy Spirit. Through the prayers of
St. Sebastian, patron of athletes, please heal all those
who have neurological damage because of contact
sports – especially @Amalie’s father, for whom this
prayer is offered. Please inspire sports equipment
manufacturers to improve their products. In Jesus’
name, amen.
 
Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from

the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal ( All football players who have CTE). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by

speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.

You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from

the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into All football players who have CTE ’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

I am definitely praying that God Blesses everyone with CTE, as well as anyone affected by any condition, with great healing, strength, and happiness

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on Amalie, her dad, those with CTE and their families. Lord, hear my prayer for Amalie’s intentions and have mercy on the whole world. (x10)
