All Saints/ All Souls

When I was at school in the 50’s,I’m convinced that All Souls preceded All Saints.Am I correct in thinking this as,my late father also thought this.
 
All Saints has been celebrated on Nov 1 since the 700s.

All Souls has a more varied history, but Nov 2 was adopted as its date between 1000-1100 AD.

In the Old Catholic Encyclopedia (1907) it is listed as Nov 2. So, no, I do not believe this is a pre/post Vatican II or calendar change issue.
 
Seems like an easy mistake to make. Thank you all for clarifying.
 
No, All Saints is on November 1 and All Souls is on November 2 therefore All Saints precedes All Souls.

As long as I can remember since 1950,frist came All Saints than All Souls,when I don,t have the answer.
 
I was able to go to a traditional Latin Mass both today and last night, which uses the same calendar that was in use in the 1950s, and its still All Saints’ on the 1st and All Souls’ on the 2nd.
 
It’s funny, but I’m in the middle of a real estate transaction, and I was just on the phone with my attorney, who is also a cradle Catholic. He kept insisting that 10/31 was All Souls’ Day, and 11/1 All Saints. I made him commit to “winner of the bet buys the other one breakfast,” and then referred him to his 1962 Missal. Now I’m just trying to figure out at which restaurant I’m going to make him buy me breakfast!
