So I was wondering… Can banners of saints be carried in a Eucharistic Procession that is taking place on All Saints Day? I would like some proof if you can find it. Cause I havent found anything… yet.

I asked my associate Fr. Brendan, and he said he remembered banners being carried in processions of the Blessed Sacrament on any day such was held.

Why should All Saints’ Day be any different?

I managed to catch the broadcast of the Corpus Christi procession from St. John Lateran to St. Mary Major this past June. It seems to me that there were banners of saints being carried in procession ahead of the pickup truck bearing the Holy Father and the Blessed Sacrament. In fact, there were banners with the different Roman diocesan organizations (Focolare, Communion and Liberation, etc) that were also carried during the procession.

You might want to consider having the CCD kids dressed up as their favorite/patron saint and have them walk along in procession as well. I would also include those children who received their first Holy Communion this year.
