You can either visit a cemetery (doesn’t have to be Catholic) and pray for the deceased, along with fulfilling the usual conditions for a plenary (note that this plenary can only be applied to a deceased soul in Purgatory, not to yourself)

OR

You can get a plenary in one of the four usual ways that work on every day of the year (adoration for a half hour or scripture reading for a half hour or a Rosary said out loud under certain conditions or Stations of the Cross at approved stations in a church or shrine; plus fulfilling the usual plenary conditions).
 
unless you’re a living saint, is it possible to not be attached to any sin?

i wonder how many partial indulgences equal a plenary indulgence…

It’s very difficult, which is why we trust in the Lord’s mercy and keep doing the plenaries as much as we can. St Philip Neri once preached a plenary indulgence for a jubilee in a crowded cathedral and had a vision that only 2 people in the church were getting it, himself and a char-woman in the back.

But at the very least you still get a partial. And we don’t know how big it might be. It could be 99 percent of the plenary for all we know. God decides.
