Hi Lazerlike42 a Question if Jesus told you its best for you to drown yourself ,because of what you have done to children ,simple logic says hes not forgiving you ,yours michaelmac
I read in your profile that you are a survivor of abuse. This must be a very difficult thing for you, and I can understand why you would have difficulty seeing Christ forgive these people who had done this to you. But He will if, and only if, they repent. Remember, the single most evil thing that was ever done was the crucifixion of Jesus, and Christ even forgave the men whom did it to Him. God is all forgiving. This doesn’t mean that people whom do these things to children will go without justice. Justice is always done, and it is a part of God. They will have to answer for what they have done one way or the other, even if they are forgiven. God has perfect justice to Him.

But that doesn’t mean they can’t be forgiven. It doesn’t matter how bad a thing someone does, or how many times they may do it, there is always forgiveness in Christ. It is possible for a person to do terrible things, and then to have a conversion of heart and to come back to God, or to find Him in the first place. Imagine a person who never knows God and harms a child, only to be introduced to God for the first time ever after that. We know that a person can’t avoid sin on their own, but only with God’s grace and help. Is God going to refuse to forgive such a person, and to punish him in hell, because he never knew God and never had God’s help to avoid sin? If nobody ever introduces someone to God, then that person isn’t going to be able to resist sin no matter what. God will not withhold forgiveness from a person who never really had the ability to avoid sin in the first place.

It is good that you know God and have Him in your life. You should pray to Him, and draw closer and closer to Him. But you have to remember that if you won’t forgive those who’ve sinned against you, God won’t forgive you. That doesn’t mean they get a free ride, and you should just forgive them. It means that you have to be ready to forgive them if they actually ever repented. This is really important Michael, because I can tell that you want to know Christ. Christ has all the love in the world and He wants so much to give it to you, but He can’t do that if you would refuse to forgive a repentant sinner. He wants you to know Him. Just pray, and He will show you the way in all things, and He will shower His love upon you in this life and far beyond. 🙂

O Saint Germaine, look down from Heaven and intercede for the many abused children in our world. Help them to sanctify these sufferings. Strengthen children who suffer the effects of living in broken families. Protect those children who have been abandoned by their parents and live in the streets. Beg God’s mercy on the parents who abuse their children. Intercede for handicapped children and their parents.

Saint Germaine, you who suffered neglect and abuse so patiently, pray for us. Amen.
