Wish List: Honest, Tall, Patient & Witty

No Way: Smoker, Impatient, & Pessimist
Tall is always good. In fact I have a height requirement and will not date anyone under 5’10". I just do not find short guys attractive.

I guess I should give a real list, without the sarcasm.

Green: sense of humor, honest, outgoing, friendly, takes care of herself (she doesnt have to be a fitness fanatic or watch calories strictly, but she should take some pride in being in shape.)

Red: unable to laugh, lies, unfriendly, high maintainance, ball breaker

I think I’m pretty content being single and told a friend that if I were to seriously contemplate marriage the guy would have to be amazing. I realized now that height is not on my list. He can’t be too self conscious about it or suffer from small man syndrome.

Define “ball breaker”. I think that’s been mentioned at least twice on this thread.

Overly demanding, critical, and generally someone who makes you feel like less of a man.

Sometimes you might hear someone call something heavy or difficult a ballbreaker. It’s more than you can handle.

My observations tell me some men must like ball breakers. what’s up with that.

That might be true. I don’t though. I don’t know why anyone would want that. Maybe they’ve been broken and they accept it as an inevitability?

You too huh? And surprise, surprise, men like that are their own archetype as well (one I’m getting increasingly sick of). It never ceases to confuse me why sad saps like that actually exist while my type remains a rare species.

As someone who is often surrounded by women that could be described as ‘ball-breaking’, I can only offer two explanations.

At best, they’re looking for a challenge and think it’s something of an achievement to get women they perceive as wild mares under their reins.

At worse, they’re just hopelessly masochistic as well as more effeminate and self-deprecating than even I’m given credit for.

I don’t know about archetypes, I just don’t like women who are always critical and demanding. If you are a fantasy fan, maybe you could think of egwene from the wheel of time. I can stand the character.

And what is your type?
The complete opposite of a ball-breaker. Do you want me to repeat my list? :ehh:

Hehe, I know plenty of similar characters in anime. 😛 (Sakura Haruno from Naruto, Erza Scarlett from Fairy Tail, Kagami Hiiragi from Lucky Star.) It’s funny how I don’t necessarily hate these characters and even find them attractive at some point but will ultimately never fall for them (assuming I even survive trying ).

Oh heaven forbid that you repeat anything you’ve previously said!:D;)
Actually, when I read your statement, I thought ‘‘my type’’ was referring to others like you, as in, types of people similar to yourself. I assumed you were labeling yourself as an endangered species and was a little curious what king of animal you are.😛

I feared as much. With all due respect, you and exoflare have a record for doing that.

Well with all due respect, when you talk about men and then refer to your type without clarifying that you aren’t speaking of other guys anymore, it’s very easy to think you are talking about yourself.
Just sayin’.

That’s your assumption. I don’t know how much more I need to say to present myself as a guy who likes to talk archetypes here. It’s equally evident enough so it makes just as much sense to assume I’m comparing the rarities of different types regardless of gender.

Huhhh boy… 'Just reading what you wrote. I realize that’s not what you meant. Honest mistake. It’s not a big deal.🤷
