Hi everyone:
I’d like to start a thread relating to the pro-life movement and what you, personally do to keep the pro-life light shining! What groups do you support? What can we ‘everyday’ people do to stop abortion? Do you put pro-life stickers on your letters and bills? What do we do with those in denial about abortion, or those who don’t seem to care? Do you have any special prayers you say daily that you could share? Any special stories about babies being saved? Hearts being softened?
These are just a few discussion ‘starters.’ Let’s brainstorm. And prayer warriors, we definitely need to hear from you!
(Please–sincere pro-life individuals only) God bless!

SallyMargie, God bless your intention. There are some prayers thread active in Prayer Intentions, which is a start…

To be honest I don’t know wha we can do besides pray! I would like to get a group together to pray outside our local slughterhouse but do noy know how to begin

A financial donation to your local Life Care facility is one way beyond prayer support. Even an occasional ten dollar donation helps because as with many hands, many donors can be quite effective in supporting the work they do to support those mothers in need.

Another less direct way of helping is to support your local food shelf or pantry. It is a fact that low income mothers that need this help are more likely to consider abortion as a solution.

Also whether your own funds are short or not prayer and letters to your federal and state representatives and senators are a way to help.

SallyMargie,

I have been trying this year to educate my friends and family on FOCA. I have read a lot about it and have shared articles with them over e-mail. This seems to be a good way to inform others and can also initiate important dialogue on the subject. God Bless your efforts!

When Roe vs. Wade was sanctioned in 1973 more people were against abortion then than today. One would always hear the intention “Pray for the unborn”, given along with others at Mass. It has been a long time since I have heard that in a Catholic Church. Perhaps this is true just in my area? I would like to see this intention stated at every Mass. Also I think it would be a good idea to have a PRO Life News Letter in Church bulletins. Depending upon the help available, this could be bi monthly, or monthly. When this election came about I very suddenly realized many, many Catholics have forgotten about the babies because nothing is ever said about them in Church. We also need to make sure that October is truly Pro Life Month with perhaps the Rosary being said before Sunday Masses for the intention of the unborn. We need to keep this issue in the public eye. We can begin in our own parishes.

Thanks and bless you all-these are super ideas!

How about prolife books and pamphlets? There are a lot of good ones out there, such as books on Margaret Sanger, notorious founder of PP, Lime 5 which exposes the truth about “safe, clean” abortion mills, and many more, including one for children, which I found in the Leaflet Missal catalog.

Anyone send prolife Christmas cards this year?

Also, where is a good source for prolife letter stickers? Thanks in advance.

Every day, without exception, I mail at least one “stop killing babies” letter to one of America’s 748 abortion facilities. That isn’t as hard as it sounds – actually it’s the same letter 748 times, already sealed and stamped in envelopes, sent out one or two per day. Few doctors or nurses want to do abortions, and one of the reasons is that they dislike the social stigma, so the goal here is to maintain the pressure. As I offered in another thread, anybody interested in this idea please feel free to PM me your email address and I will email you the abortion facility mailing labels.

I write to my elected officials asking what they are doing to stop abortion. Of course, here in New York state I am “represented” by a bunch of holocaust collaborators, but that’s all the more reason to keep asking them to defend unborn children.

I’ve got a couple of pro-life bumper stickers: “Heart is beating 24 days after conception” and “Abortion stops a beating heart.”

I’ve logged many hours picketing outside death camps over the years, but now I have three children under the age of five, so that isn’t practical.

Finally, with each pregnancy my wife and I have, I show every ultrasound picture to everyone I can. That’s my favorite one. 🙂

Challenge your pro-death congressman continuously. Educate them so they cannot feign ignorance.

More great ideas–thanks!

The real irony is when those prominent in pro-life work are harassed and sometimes threatened by those who support abortion. I believe Fr. Pavone recently had a death threat, according to a newsletter I get. What irony! He’s dedicated to saving lives, and yet some want to kill him. It says much about the same twisted logic used to support abortion. I know I’m ‘preaching to the choir’ here, but just another reminder to keep our prolife leaders in prayer. Satan must delight in going after such wonderful, unselfish people. …and their ‘crime’ is saving the most vulnerable!

I stand and pray outside abortion clinics quite regularly. I’ve been part of several small local marches and demonstrations. This year I will be making my first trip to Washington, D.C. for the National March for Life. I’ve also done time with the 40 Days for Life.

I simply pray and offer moral support for other prayer warriors. I am not called to do sidewalk counseling, mostly because I look intimidating (I still look like a linebacker).

While standing outside the Ft. Worth Planned Parenthood “clinic”, staff from inside the building came out and started taking pictures of us individually from afar. I didn’t know what to think so I just waved and continued my Rosary. I spoke with the local Pro-Life organizer, who happened to be there that day, about the incident. His reply was that it was intimidation 101. It struck me funny how none of us there that morning were very intimidated. The organizer (confined to a wheel-chair) posed and smiled with another volunteer.

Yeah, I’ve seen that tactic. Here they will come out and ask your name “for security reasons.” If they care about “security” why not start with the security of the babies they’re decapitating?

But I’m glad they take photographs. That way, you could say, “Thanks. Now when the Planned Parenthood Board of Directors stands trial for crimes against humanity at the Hague, there’ll be photographic proof that we tried to stop it.”

Hey, dress warm for the March for Life. Think “artic deep freeze.”

Yes, as you both said it’s intimidation. Basically just a scare tactic.

I recall getting a newsletter from 40 Days for Life about a ritual done very late at night outside an abortion mill, as watched by a sidewalk counselor who arrived earlier than usual. There was a woman quietly chanting and spreading a powder or such on the sidewalk to the abortion mill. There was speculation that it was a type of satanic ritual. That wouldn’t be surprising, as infant sacrifice has a connection with the satanic, I believe.

Could be.I am not condoning the practice when I say that there are practitioners of voo-doo and Santeria who are pro-life.There are several types of dust which the victims of the ‘magic’ are supposed to step over to activate it.The most popular one is called ‘goofer’s dust’ and can actually be purchased in occult/new-age stores. What you saw may have been done as an act against the clinic. It’s still witchcraft. But,I would be willing to bet that the person who spread it there doesn’t believe they are satanic.
(I’m an ex-occultist,that’s how I know)🤷
