In explaining the Mark of the Beast to Fr. Gobbi of the Marian movement of Priests Our Lady said that 666 has occured three times in history
Firstly the year 666 - about the time that Mohammed appeared on the scene to attack the Fatherhood of God 😦

Moro Rock, the first 666 (A.D.??) is wrong because Muhammad was in his grave in year 632 A.D., that was long before 666.

When it comes to private revelations, one must be very careful. It may be authentic messages from Heaven, but even among the messages from a source usually authentic there may be some of them which are not. Even to a saint it may happen, and indeed it happened sometimes, for example to saint Catherine of Sienna. She submitted to the judgment of the Church then, thanks be to God!
I recommend Fr. Benedict J. Groeschel’s book A Still Small Voice on private revelations which sheds light on that serious topic.
 
Given what has happened in many places eince the advent of Islam, though, I am sorry to say that too many times in the course of history it has looked O.K. for Muslim people to act toward non-Muslims as though they meant to force them to convert to Islam. In some countries with a majority of Muslims it appears to be still the same. Even though there are many Muslims who genuinely try to serve God in a most authentic way just like many Catholics, many other Christians and many Jews.
 
And in my view, you don’t need any message from Heaven to see a threat there. Unless it would warn you when you are not already aware of it, like the messages of Fatima mentionning Russia when it was to become the Soviet Union…

Fr Groeschel’s book does not cite any of St Catherine’s writings as evidence for his claims e.g. that the Blessed Virgin appeared to St Catherine and told her that the Immaculate Conception is not true.

But he did mention her, didn’t he?
 
Moreover, that happened BEFORE the dogma of the Immaculate Conception was defined under Pope Pius IX in 1854, a few years before the apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Bernadette, did it not?
 
At any rate, I found A Still Small Voice to be very instructive about the matter of private revelations. Worth reading, and quite orthodox teaching, thus very desirable.

Lapell, I agree with your post #24 about private revelation. Private revelation, even for non-prophets, is still continued and possible. Quran admits it, supports the idea of revelation to non-prophets, and even in this age…

The year 666 - about the time his false message Allah is God and he has no Son ]
began to be spread by the sword.
 
That’s 33 or 34 years after Muhammad’s death. Any idea why it would have taken so long?
It might even not have been Muhammad’s idea maybe… though it is true that its being stated in the Qu’ran seems to imply it really was stated through Muhammad, not through anyone else.
 
Originally in Koran writings Mohammed advised his followers to defer to the ‘People of the Book’ ie. Christians and Jews
He visited the Jewish community and invited them to accept him as the New Prophet which they declined
Then his attitude changed and his writings began to advocate warfare against the Jews and Christians
The rest is history.
 
With some leaders more compassionnate than others, and some more violent than others, all (or at least most) of them still very firm, sticking to what the Qu’ran teaches.
 
Even though the Muslims’ idea of a Merciful 'Allah must somehow differ from the Jewish idea of a Merciful Hashem (or Adonai) and from the Christian idea of a Merciful God.
It’s true, though, that many people claiming to be Christians prove to be rather unmerciful to some under certain circumstances. Mercy and forgiveness towards all is not a natural thing to the humans ever since the fall of Adam and Eve.
 
“If your righteousness does not surpass that of the Pharisees and the Sadducees ( that is, the letter of the Law), you won’t enter into the Kingdom of God.”, said Jesus.
 
I take it Jesus could also say, “If you Muslims don’t surpass submitting only to the letter of the Qu’ran (its laws), you won’t enter into the Kingdom of God and receive from Him the reward meant to be given to His good, faithful servants.”

Your both posts above are excellent. I may not have said it before but I always felt that the present day Muslims have fell from the Grace of God. The words of Jesus:

These words of Jesus were excellent and today they apply to Muslims.
