The focus on the entire book of Jonah is not on the prophecy. It is on a reluctant prophet, gentiles who worship a variety of pagan gods, a great city that has been quite wicked, the power and mercy of God, and so much more. read it.
 
I’m trying to find out if her bishop said anything. But it seemed to me she hasn’t said anything different. We’re supposed to do penance and pray Rosaries In reparation. Fatima already said that, the approved apparitions of Akita said that, so we should be doing it without needing more reminders.
 
My cat probably should fast, the vet said he is a bit too hefty 🙂 He will of course object to the rough sackcloth.

I have an exam in the next 48 hrs but after that I think it would be fascinating to discuss Jonah as it is one of the books we have been translating from Original Hebrew 🙂
 
Michael Matt from the Remnant Newspaper has a 2019 story about how the story of Our Lady of Akita seems to be purposely obscured.

I’m unaware of a specific prohibition on The Remnant, but if it’s too far “out there “ (like in a Fr Gruner sort of way) be prepared for heated discussion.

However it is totally out of context with what has been reported with the new vision. As it was not the prophecy.

It would do the Book of Jonah a great disservice to distort it. Which is why I am happy to have a new thread that discusses the fascinating book of Jonah and exegesis

There are Catholics working at the Remnant, just as there likely are at your daily newspaper. But neither is affiliated with the Catholic Church.

The lack of Catholic affiliation is well known, with the N Y Times, for instance. It’s not as well known with the Remnant, and needs to be pointed out. They may have some good articles, like your daily papers, but are not a lay Catholic apostolate.

I am happy to hear news about her. I was Akita several years ago and one of the sisters there said she isn’t there any more. The priest on our pilgrimage believed she had died–but she hasn’t. I knew she was very old and this says she is still alive and going strong. I like hearing that a priest cured her of a tumor. God is still very much in her life. She is an inspiration to me.
 
This was on Relevant Radio too and it caught me by surprise because I had heard nothing about it. Thanks to @Tis_Bearself for the posting and @GiftofMercy for a lot of helpful commentary (per the other thread too) and thanks, really, to everyone who is aiding to us who are just hearing about this now.
 
I understand what you are expressing.
It is noteworthy how the Remnant shows Our Lady of Akita is made nearly void. Really anyone might have made that observation public but did not.
