Hi
Sorry but this will seem very basic and just wondered what you guys actually do?
Some years ago we were, as a church, told off by a neighbouring parish priest - ‘wanna-be’ Roman Catholic Priest but isn’t actually.
We were severely told of for having a hymn that had Alleluia in it throughout Lent. This naturally gets joked about every year at choir practice as a naughty word. The new vicar’s wife was err, stunned and couldn’t work out what naughty word that was, so i mimed alleluia. I wonder what gets taken back to the vicar on that
But just wondered do you have a ‘bann’ on alleluia throughout Lent? We didn’t even know it was in the hymn as such but we do now and double check though this priest is sooo refreshingly human, different that if it did get taken back home, or he finds out some other way… ( We aren’t Roman Catholic.
) but we certainly had our hands as such well and truelly slapped on that one occaision
