Except that this is an online forum, not an ethics seminar or the conversation in the family. In a way, it serves them right for posting this kind of stuff here. This young lady really needs to find a good allergist and deal with this problem in an appropriate way.

My question is, as long as we’re talking about morals, does this young lady know that her relative has splashed all this intimate information about her butt end–and what she does with it–on the internet??? And if she knows, does that bother her or not? That’s a real ethics question pertinent to this forum.
Ermmmmm??? It’s ANONYMOUS?

Nothing on the internet is truly anonymous. Your IP address is being recorded every time you enter anything. It’s a rather simple matter to trace that back to your internet service provider, and they have information about household. How do you think some services are managed on the internet?

And it’s still an ethical problem if the young lady doesn’t know, or doesn’t approve. It’s her butt and her private business.

I never heard of such a thing. Semen is not a pathogen. If she’s telling the truth, she’s not wife material, and her marriage should be annulled.
Strange that it doesn’t even occur to you to use a google search to see if your realm of experience is limited.

Having an allergy does not = not marriagable.

That is the same thing as using a condom. The fact that not ALL of the sperm passes would make it immoral. Because who is to say the one that would have made it didn’t because of the condom. Then they would have committed a mortal sin. That’s really dangerous. I would advise them to seek out a Priest as soon as possible and ask. I really can’t see condoms under any circumstance being justified.
I’m not sure you’re accurate. I understand it’s ok to collect sperm in a punctured condom for the purpose of a sperm analysis. IF… and that’s what I would hinge this on, IF that is ok, then I can’t see where it wouldn’t be ok to have sex on a regular basis in this fashion.

Regardless, at this juncture, I’d be talking with some VERY TRUSTED priests, bishops etc. I certainly would not let the fate of my marriage rest in the opinions of internet strangers.

I do not deny that God knows what is in each person’s heart. However, the concept of sin is not subjective. If you know usage of condoms is a mortal sin, and you choose to use them anyway, you are rejecting God. It’s not “anything goes as long as your heart is in the right place.” One’s concience does NOT trump Church teaching.
Ignore.

That’s not exactly correct. And I guess that would be illegal in certain countries. IP addresses can’t accurately be used to uniquely track down individuals or devices. Those days are long gone. Even if someone manages to accurately trace an IP address to an ISP, a court order will be needed for disclosure of information.

People can actually be 100% anonymous on the Internet. Not the topic of this thread though

It’s not an illness. It’s a condition that makes it impossible for the man to have a normal sex life. He either harms his wife, or casts his soul into Hell by using condoms. I can’t think of a clearer case for annulment of the marriage.
Having a “normal sex life” is not a requirement for a valid Sacramental marriage. The only requirements regarding sex, beyond fidelity, are the abilty to consumate the marriage and an openness to life.
