How would I know?

EAsy, if they are living like the most of hedonistic America they would have the 2.5 children!
Not necessarily. My parents used contraception(but only for a short time) and have 5 kids. My best friends, my son’s godparents, use none, not even NFP, and have no children. I used none, been pregnant 3 times, had 2 miscarriages, and have 1 living child. You just can’t tell.

thank you, I figured you or White Dove would get it

I’m guessing that PuzzleAnnie is reacting to the other polls regarding other moral issues one might choose to shield our kids from.

Oh yeah, and another thing. What about Catholic schools that allow protestants if they are willing to pay tuition? How would you like to send your child to a Catholic school only to find out he/she has been exposed to a non-Catholic, perhaps even during playground time where there could be unmonitored conversations!

Would you allow your child to attend a Catholic school that admits children whose parents, contracept, are not validly married, cheat on their taxes, exploit their workers, run stop signs, got married in a big church wedding after living together for five years, use public office for personal gain, have business dealings with organized crime figures . . .
Yes, because (1) It’s not for us to judge others; (2) It’s a parent’s responsibility to set the example for their children and (3) A Catholic education is the best.

So do you personally make a checklist and interview every family in the school?

I keep my kids from bad influences, yes, however how deep do you get into this?

Our kids could be the role model for these children -

Did Jesus shun the sinners? That’s the question. No he didn’t. If he had, none of us would be saved, ever.

That’s funny! When my family moved from California to Indiana, my parents put me in catholic school even though we weren’t catholic. Heck, I even started receiving communion because no one knew I wasn’t a catholic and as a second grader, I didn’t know any better. Don’t worry, my mother put a stop to that pretty quickly once she found out. I also, would dip my fingers in the holy water font and splash it on my nose so it was washed just like all the other kids. Of course I couldn’t see what the kid in front of me was doing. Amazingly, it took several months before one of the sisters even noticed and then taught me how to sign the cross. It was all just training for my future as a catholic!

Please tell me you’re being sarcastic.

  1. Every school has children of such parents.
  2. The parents’ actions are no grounds for refusal to admit children to school.
Wonder if people who have voted “NO” believe that children are responsible for their parents’ misdoings.

If these were done in a public way and portrayed as virtuous and not sinful, then no I would not send my children. Why send your children to a Catholic school if there is no intent on limiting exposure to manifest sin? You could send them to a public school for less money.

Your choices are awful. I couldn’t choose my answer from those you provided. However, my daughter does go to school with children whose parents i think contracept.
  1. As my daughter is very young - she still doesn’t know what sex is so why bring it up.
  2. Why would I ever even know if someone is contracepting in the first place?
God Bless,

This Poll is highly, I mean, highly uncharitable! I’m shocked that this poster can call herself a Christian!!! She is teetering into very dangerous territory. :bigyikes: I don’t know what she’s trying to prove by her (name removed by moderator)ertinent question!!!

What do you mean by this, PuzzleAnnie? Are you trying to trap people into something here? If you are, I won’t stand for it. I have every right to protect my precious children from tax cheating, birth control using cafeteria Catholics who live in glass houses!!!

Instead of jumping all over puzzleannie, some of you might take a look at a few of the recent polls which reek of self-righteous blather.
Yes, these polls are getting out of hand. There was one I protested about yesterday which invites people to have a crack at their parish priests.

The options invite priest-bashing and judgementalism.

Is your priest:

o “emotionally immature”
o “a little gay”
o “utterly neurotic.”
