To have misgivings about the New Mass is not to question the validity of the New Mass. How can one question the validity of the Second Vatican council
To have misgivings about the New Mass, when done correctly, is to question the validity of the Second Vatican Council. I realize you can’t see that.

For instance, what was the purpose of posting those two pictures of the altar and challenging people to say one was more reverant than the other?

Was it the fact that it was being recorded? Was it the fact that it was being said Ad Populus? Or was it just your personal preference.

You know by now that I am a Traditionalist who attends an Indult Mass but you know also I will not deny the authority of Vatican II and I did not miss your remark about it being “an Ecuminical” council. I know Cardinal Ratzinger once referred top it thusly that does not mean it was without authority or that it could not “develop” doctrine.

Perhaps if you would prefix some of your opinions and prejudices with the fact that that is what they are, I would not so greatly object to some of your posts. But when you are so authorative in what you say as if it is the full Truth and what the Church currently teaches, it bothers me. Why? Because both lurkers and seekers come here to learn about our faith and posts that are contrary to what the Church is teaching serves both to confuse them and to make them wonder why they would be interested in a faith that has dissention.

I trust you will not take this as any personal dislike of you for I don’t know you but I do dislike many of your posts for the reasons stated above.

And I don’t question your love of God and Mary and of Christ. There may be no doubting your good intentions but where Church dogma and the Promises of Christ to His visible Church until the end of time are concerned (Mt. 28:20) when we continueally queston what the Church teaches, then we wash away from the Rock who is Peter we descend into a laybrinth of errors, exaggeration and imbalances.

I pray that you will think about what I have posted for a few hours or more before responding and know that it is for love of you, and all our brothers and sisters in Christ that seek the truth that I write this.

deogratias,

Thank you for taking the time to look up that information.

I think perhaps Catholic Eagle meant to post on a different thread. (Should the Tridentine Mass fade away) Otherwise his post appears to be a nonsequiter.

You are welcome - but I think he was replying to an earlier post I wrote to him after he posted those two altar pictures.
