Alternative and New Age Healing

Can a person become infected with demons or come under their influence in the following circumstances?

A person is persuaded to go to see an alternative health practitioner who uses a variety of techniques. The technics are varied and the person goes to a single evaluation session with a very skeptical mind, very wary about discerning what is being offered.

The person engages in some tests, e.g. reflex tests with a hammer, eye movement test, muscle tests, etc…

Basically, the person went to the first evaluation meeting to check what is being offered, following an explicit denial of any New Age involvement, to see if this is bona fide.

In short, the person leaves the meeting, and after some more research, decides that what is on offer is a mixture of new techniques with some basis in science, and other techniques which are New Age.

Can a person become spiritually infested as a result of such curiosity? If so, what can be done?

If you had told someone 100 years ago that doctors would soon be curing infections with bread mold, you’d have been thought of as crazy.

“New Age” means “what the drug companies hope you never find out.” ALL healing comes from God. It comes through many different vessels–herbs, artificial pharmaceuticals, the hands of a skilled surgeon, or the prayers of your loved ones.

The only question–do you feel better? If it works, it works.

Catholics must not dabble in the New Age.

My question is, can one become affected by demons from a preliminary enquiry? This enquiry involved some ‘tests’ and even ‘touches’ - which seemed innocent enough, but now I’m not so sure.

The person was told it was not a New Age practitioner, but after the evaluation and more research, discovers it was indeed containing New Age content mixed with scientific methods.

From what you’ve said, I don’t see how you could become “infected with demons.” What you describe are fairly basic medical tests.

I was just worried in case such a person could put a hex or curse on a person. Anyway, now that I know this person is a New Ager, I will avoid them.

you do understand that these are not the same thing. Alternative means alternative to western medicine as commonly practiced, up to and including homeopathy which used to be a respected companion to allopathy as a philosphy of pharmacology. Usually it means any treatment not covered by standard medical insurance, although as a few of those alternative treatments are found, after solid research, to hold some benefit that may be changing as well.

New Age means whatever their practioners say it means, usually a warped version of medical practice from another culture wedded to their fabricated gnositc pseudo-spirituality.

In the hands of anyone who practices a spirituality that invokes demonic forces even penicillin and modern medicine can be dangerous, but it is easier to surround alternative practices with mumbo jumbo and so impress the gullible.

I foolishly allowed myself to be ‘tested’ by an alternative health practitioner. This person denied being into the New Age, but I’ve now realised that they were using New Age techniques.

I am worried I may have allowed myself to be contaminated or infested with unclean spirits, or that a curse or hex may have been placed on me.

Biofeedback techniques, back manipulation, applied kinesiology, and other ‘tests’ were performed. I would sooner call them tricks, because that’s what they seemed like - party tricks. They seemed pretty impressive at the time, but on reflection, i was a fool to be taken in by such a scam.

I was convinced by somebody close to me to go see this person. Before that, I had a go with this bio-feedback computer programme at their home which involved 3D glasses. I didn’t know it at the time, but this was a bio-feedback programme. After I used it that time, my mind felt like it had been violated and I felt very strange - not a good feeling. Almost like I was on some kind of drug.

I can’t believe I was so foolish, but beyond the waste of money, I want to know if I’ve put myself in real spiritual danger or if I have damaged myself in any other way?

As well as that, I want to warn others of the New Age / Alternative healing practitioners, who will even deny that they are involved with New Age.
