The ashes are a sacramental, not a sacrament. Thus, anyone can receive them. So, yes you can. I did so myself 2 years ago when I was in RCIA waiting for Baptism. Welcome home!

Just a thought, if you’re going through RCIA, why not ask your RCIA director? Or the parish priest. Those sources are almost always more reliable than message boards.

Good advice. Daily Lenten meditations really enhance Lent. Hope you received your ashes.Yes you can but I would go a step forward and get a good book meditating Lent.
