Am I allowed to tell God how I feel or will it bring His wrath down on me?

No swearing or anything like that but I know He knows how I feel anyway so it might be pointless but I don’t think I want to receive Him in communion anymore as it feels hypocritical. The devil is so strong I think I will capitulate.

You are allowed to be honest with God and to tell Him how you feel.

In the Book of Job, the titular character frankly tells God how he feels about his life falling apart. God doesn’t curse him for it.

Of course you can tell God how you feel. Pray to God for grace to get through this, and please speak to your priest and health care professionals if needed. There is support out there. Just ask for it.

Yes, people should pray openly and honestly to God all the time, including voicing their pains and frustrations, and always in love.

I’m scared of God. I’m scared I will say the wrong thing.

Unintentional meanings are a problem when you are teaching someone else. In prayer, though, they aren’t a problem. God knows what you mean.

Also, you sound like you need to talk to a priest directly. This seems like something a people on a forum cannot help you with.

This isn’t a good thing because a person should be able to talk to God like he was their best friend in the world.

It’s an old book, but I like St Alphonus Liguori’s short treatise “How to Converse with God”. It says a lot of great things about prayer.

You don’t absolutely need to talk to a priest about it. A spiritually mature Catholic will work fine. Lots of places in the world don’t have easy access to a priest all the time. Anybody can be a spiritual adviser.

Oh I see. I don’t know anyone like that though.
Is there no one in your church who seems to have been there since the dawn of time… there is always someone in every church, who just seems to know God in a way that no one else does, who just seems like a person who will embrace you, willing to talk to you about The Lord, someons who looks as if the Holy Spirit is flowing through them… look around… God will point that person out to you.

A minister told me once that God knows us better then we know ourselves, so there is no point in lying to Him. If you are having a bad day… you’re having a bad day its okay to tell God you had a bad day.

There is nothing wrong with telling God about all that you feel, how can He help you if you don’t tell Him what you want Him to help you with? He wants us to come to Him, to pray, to ask so we can receive.

Please keep praying God will help you with your fear of Him and replace it with His love… I promise.

I’m always having a bad day, I haven’t had a good day for three months. I don’t understand why He wants us to be unhappy and suffer all the time. Can’t I suffer five days per week instead of seven?

You keep asking this same question over and over on multiple threads.

I urge you, as others have urged you on your other threads, to please reach out to a counselor and get some help in person. You seem to have some significant struggles that are beyond the ability of an Internet forum to help you with.

Lay it all on Him, He can take it. I had a great tussle with Almighty God many years ago - He won. As for receiving him in Holy Communion remember, no one is perfect. That is why we ask forgiveness for our sins at every Mass and say: “Lord I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof but only say the word and my soul shall be healed”.

If you saw Jesus on the street in the flesh, do you think He would prevent you from coming to Him, prevent you from touching Him? No! Never!

Me thinks you probably exaggerate a bit. We all have our problems down here and our lives are not a bed of roses either. Get a grip!

The devil is not stronger than the love that God has for us. What is this wrath you think he will bring down? Where are you getting that from?

You cannot go through life thinking that God is the one throwing obstacles in our way. We have free will and can decide our response to what happens. Perhaps you need help to deal with things in your life. God is there to listen to all of your thoughts and prayers, but do not think he doesn’t already know what is in your heart.

I’m sorry you’re suffering for so long, and I’m sorry it sounds as if you cant see the light in the end of your suffering.

I dont know why God allows some of us to suffer in this world, whether it be a tragic lose of family, friends, home, finance, job or health… maybe God is teach us something in our suffering, wants us to see beyond what is causing us pain… wants us to seek Him in our pain like He did with Job…I dont know.

I do know that we are not alone even on an isolated deserted island. I know God hears our prayers. I know God never gives us more then we handle and I know when we open our hearts to the Lord, He will fill it with what we need to ease our suffer we just have accept it.
“Prayer:
Loving God, I pray that you will comfort me in my suffering , lend skill to the hands of my healers, and bless the means used for my cure. Give me such confidence in the power of your grace, that even when I am afraid, I may put my whole trust in you; through our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen. … Amen.”
I pray God hears you.
