I have the usual workplace drama, and I had to work between confession and confirmation, and I’m afraid I mortally sinned then (as well as after) and went to confirmation like that.
There is a lot of gossip and people like to talk to me about it for some reason. I try to respond without getting caught up in it, but it’s hard, especially as some of the stuff does affect me.
Also no one (including me) goes exactly by the book at work, and there are some things, while technically no-noes by the higher-ups are allowed at store level.
I suffer from anxiety and tend to overreact about things, and right now I won’t easily be able to go to confession due to my schedule before next Sunday and I really want to take communion during Advent.

Well, first off I am also scrupulous. I do not think gossip falls under the category of grave matter usless you severely damage someone’s reputation out of malice. Only you know what you were gossiping about. Gossiping is a sin but not necessarily grave matter depending on what was said. Don’t do it. If gossipy people flock to you, get away from them. You need to talk to a priest about this. All you are going to get are various opinions on this board and not a lot of people here give good advice to those who are scrupulous. Ask a priest when you get a chance. Don’t worry until then. Or Atleast try to worry less and I know that is hard. But if you know you are scrupulous sometimes, you know there is a chance you are still in a state of grace. Talk to a priest

Gossips talk to you because you respond. Refuse to respond and they will likely stop.

If you suspect that you suffer from scrupulosity, you probably do. Find an experienced confessor to counsel you on this.

If you think you are in a state of mortal sin and cannot make it to regular confession times, then call the parish office and make an appointment with a priest to hear your confession. You also might check out some of the parishes near your work place and see if one them has a confession time you can make.
