Am I Condemned?

There is no sin nor any number of sins that God won’t forgive. He will forgive any and all sins.

Someone earlier mentioned this, but I’ll just reiterate for emphais. Saul of Tarsus MURDERED Christians! Lots of them! He fell off his horse and saw The Lord on the road to Damascus and had an instant, complete conversion.

He later went on to become St. Paul. He, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, wrote half of the New Testament.

We often view things from a finite perspective, because we are finite beings. But God is Infinite.

He is infinitely kind, infinitely forgiving, infinitely just, but also INFINITELY MERCIFUL.

Just go to Confession, pour your heart out, and start again with a clean slate.

God Bless!

Thank you for all of your replies. I am no longer living with her [she is a Wiccan witch] and no longer have any communication with her whatsoever.

Also, to make it clear, I never completed RCIA and was never formally accepted into the Church–therefore I feel doubly guilty, taking Communion in an unworthy manner. That’s why I ask if I am condemned; I feel as though my actions are not unlike that of the fictional Dracula, defying Christ and receiving His Body at the same time. I don’t know why I did it, but I did, and I plead for God’s mercy and the intercession of Mary.

He loves you more than you can possibly imagine, and wants your salvation more than you could ever want it for yourself. The very fact that you feel remorse is proof that He’s drawn near to you and is calling you. Go to Confession at a different parish if you’d feel more comfortable, but don’t delay. Ask for the intercession of the Blessed Mother and of St. Mary Magdalene. Just remember that all of heaven rejoices when a lost sheep returns to the flock.

Donald Calloway was a “Dead Head”, using heroin, crack, and later even became involved in the Japanese mafia. He was deported from Japan and had to be physically restrained while he thrashed and spit on those arresting him. Now he’s a priest! Stories like his happen more often than you think. You can order his whole story on CD or DVD.

Hello,

I am a 27 year-old man. I have been very conflicted, and was involved in RCIA [never completed] and was, for a brief period, a catechumen in the Orthodox Church. Lately, over the last four or five months, I have developed a hatred for Christianity . . . and Friday morning I went to Mass and received Communion. I took the very Body of Christ on my tongue, knowing that I was unworthy–I have, until recently, been living in sin with a woman who is a witch. I don’t know why I decided to partake, I just did . . . and promptly walked out.

I don’t know what to do now. I know I need to get back into RCIA, but the parish I went to Friday is very close to my home, but it is small and has just one priest. How can I tell this priest how I have been living and expect to be admitted to RCIA at this new [to me] parish?

Please pray for me . . . I am afraid to pray myself, ashamed to ask the Blessed Mother for Her intercession, afraid to talk to Jesus . . . in my hatred, I threw a Rosary and Crucifix into the garbage with contempt. I am undergoing treatment for Bipolar Disorder, but I will not blame my actions on that. I want to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy . . . perhaps Jesus will forgive me, and save me, if only by the skin of my teeth.

Regards,
James
James,

I am praying for you my brother. May God’s grace be upon you.

Pax

Thank you, thank you so much for sharing that! It’s just what I needed! I was about to give up, but that really touches me to hear Fr Donald’s testimony.

Lord, Have Mercy!

You’re very welcome. :tiphat:

I would add that we are all, myself included, condemned if we die in a state of mortal sin. It does not matter who the person is, if they are unrepentant at the time of death, it is too late.

Likewise, if we repent, we can be saved. It has been said many times but it is worth repeating, we all will be surprised at who is in Heaven and who is not.

The Church can lead you to sanctity. Please make use of the sacraments. Start with confirmation. Once confirmed you will be utterly astonished as to how much frequent confession can help clear our minds and bring peace to our hearts.

Come, join with us and celebrate the love of God, and His great mercy, with us.

Prodigal Dragon - since you are not Catholic you of course cannot be absolved by a Priest, but you can certainly repent and obtain forgiveness. However - since you are convinced of the Truth of the Catholic faith you must re-enter RCIA and become Catholic. Once you do this HEALING is available to you from the sacraments of confession and Communion. Come home to the Catholic church and be healed of all your woundedness through her sacraments! Please do no delay!

Hatred for Our Lord, Our Lady and the Catholic Holy religion comes straight from the devil. You also state you are living in impurity with a witch no less - she may have cursed/hexed you. Your relationship with her has most assuredly led to a demonic infestation/oppresion for you. I highly recommend the books by the Vatican’s former lead exorcist, Father Amorth here:

amazon.com/Exorcist-Tells-His-Story/dp/0898707102/sr=8-1/qid=1165860151/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/002-2834818-5244862?ie=UTF8&s=books

This book is written by a very ** holy priest who has an excellent understanding of the effect of evil on one’s life. Take this hatred very seriously and seek help and conversion lest you end up in Hell beside this witch. You can save your soul, absolutely, but don’t count on “last minute repentance” or as you say “by the skin of my teeth” I would imagine many in Hell thought the same way. You can be forgiven, but you must seek it! I will also pray for you!
I have just finished reading both those books, and I highly recommend them. People don’t realize how prevalent and active the devil is. Read the books!

It’s no wonder the OP has developed a hate for Christianity, since he resides with a witch. There is so much information in Father Amorth’s books that will really open the eyes of all those who read them. Sadly, we don’t get this info from the priests anymore. They seldom speak of the devil, and do our souls a great disservice by their silence.

PD - It seems to me you are no more “condemned” than any of the rest of us. You are, in a word, human. Remember Christ became man - not for himself - but for us. He has lived, breathed, been tempted and was fully human like us in all things but sin. Somewhat like the old saying about having to walk in another person’s shoes to fully understand their problems, Christ walked as one of us so we could be assured He knows our problems and weaknesses. Don’t give up the fight. We all sin and fall. Christ knows and loves us nonetheless.
Pax te cum.

It may be that the first thing you need to do is break off the very dangerous relationship you are involved with. Remember that witches, whether they know it or not, can be a vehicle for evil. This evil will attack you, there is no doubt about that. It hates what is pure, good, holy. You must be feeling this. Just search inside and you will know where it comes from. Recently you have started to HATE Christianity? Why do you suppose that has happened. What has Christianity done TO you, the question really is what can Christian do FOR you. It offers you HOPE. What can being associated with someone who practices witchcraft or just subscribes to the title, do for you other than ally you with the fallen one. That is where all of pagan worship originates, it serves to keep souls from the truth of God and keep it Earth centered. You must push this relationship away, and don’t be afraid to talk to someone about it. God is Mercy and Hope. The devil is the absence of mercy and hope. Do you see that? Realize what you have been feeling is an attack on you. Anger is not a true feeling or emotion. There is ALWAYS a root feeling that manifests as anger. Find those feelings and you will find something you will need to separate from. The conflict. You are not lost. As long as you have a breath of life, you have hope. Evil will always exploit your weakness, in this case possibly your Bi-Polar condition, and use it to deepen your despair. Recognize this, and take care of your Mind, Body and Soul. Good luck, we’ll pray for you.

I moved out a month ago, and have been slowly making my way back to the Lord. I have come to the place where I’ve decided to complete RCIA and seek the assistance of a priest in my penance. When I say penance, I mean it in the sense of the Douay-Rheims: to repent, turn around, do a one-eighty . . . I have been going to mass daily this last week and will continue to do so, searching after God as Charles deFoucold . . . he was a sinner much like myself, and if there is hope for him, there is hope for me.

The Divine Mercy is something I cling to right now, as I convert fully to the Catholic Faith and remove the sinful things from my life. Thank you all for your prayers, and Merry Christmas!

Prodigal Dragon
