The story…
I am in a new country since January 2008. I came here for a job, it was not what I anticipated and realised that from the first day. The second day at work, I updated my resume and have been looking for a new job in this new country but nothing yet. I have been praying since then, but nothing yet. My boss is very very arrogant, and yesterday he verbally abused me. I was emotionally drained. My cup had become full.
I wrote my resignation letter today. I was told that you shouldnt leave without having somewhere to go to. I have no where and jobs are hard to find, even though I am young and marketable.
I have until May 30th, then I would be unemployed in a foreign country.
It’s only GOD now can open those doors for me. I couldnt take the abuse anymore and now I urgently need a door of employment to be opened. Lord Jesus I thank you for this job you are preparing for me.
Am I crazy?

Dear MarianB, I immediately thought of Joseph having to find work in a foreign country after he’d fled to safety in Egypt to save the life of infant Jesus whom Herod was determined to kill.
I ask St Joseph to intercede for you to find work and security.
God please bless MarianB and help her to live as you wish, in the peace of Jesus. Please grant her urgent prayers.

Dear MarianB,

Sometimes leaving is the best thing you can do for your survival. Praying for you!

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Psalm 42 (43)
Longing for the temple

Vindicate me, Lord:
judge my case against an unholy nation,
rescue me from betrayers, from the wicked.
For you are the God of my refuge;
why have you rejected me?
why must I suffer while my enemies torment me?

Send forth your light and your truth;
let them lead me away,
let them lead me up your holy mountain,
up to your sanctuary.
I shall go in to the altar of God,
to the God of my gladness and joy.
I will sing out to you on the lyre,
O God, my God.

Why are you so sad, my soul,
and anxious within me?
Put your hope in the Lord, I will praise him still,
my saviour and my God.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

Amen.
